Sallie Reason
Sallie Reason was a very gifted bobbin painter who had a wonder abilty mixed with a sense of humour. She passed away in January 2011.
Often described as whimsical, Sallie's bobbins were always beautifully executed and importantly, sealed well so that they were a delight to handle.
She predominantly painted on SMP bobbins but occasionally used other makers. She often painted a central bead to match her design and decorated the base of the necks of her bobbins.
Sallie was a vibrant splash of colour at lace days and events, she dressed as she painted.
