Chrisken
Christine and Ken Surrey (Chrisken) were based in Newbury. Chrisken specialised in interesting inlays in fine woods. Often the inlays would be of Tunbridge ware. This was a form of decroative inlaided wood in tiny squares.
The heads were a typical 'onion bulb' look with a distinctive tail that was a small tear drop.
Ken was mainly active in the 80s and 90s and finally stopped making bobbins back in 2002.
