Elizabeth van Treirum
From the whimsical to folk art flowers, Elizabeth's bobbins show a wide variety of turning and painting. Eizabeth turned bobbins for a number of years, initially with her first husband, Henk, then continuing on her own, after he died.
Elizabeth included sections made of polymer clay or swarovski crystals.
Bobbins were turned in both wood and bone.
One of two bobbin turners / painters to use the cross bared spangle. The other was David Stanley.
You can see by the images below that there were slight variants in her heads but also she produced a number of different tails.
