Jan Gardiner (Lacewing Design)

Jan Gardiner painted bobbins turned by Geoff Mudge, until he retired c.2014. After that she painted on bobbins turned by Chris Parsons but following the original bobbin shape, right down to the characteristic groove on the thistle of the head.  Jan often used pearlescent paint and created lots of fantasy designs including her sought after dragons. She signed them JG followed by the year.

Jan stopped painting bobbins in 2018/19.
