Spangles the Bead People / Beadazzled Bobbins

Started back in 1985, Spangles was born out of an idea that Carole Morris had that it was "hard to find decent glass beads" back during the revival of lacemaking in the 70s and 80s.
A lacemaker herself, Carole understood what lacemakers were looking for in the beads that they sought and soon, she and her husband, Graeme, became firm fixtures at lace days.
Carole has always had an eye for charming and unusual offerings and her modern birdcage spangles, where a bead is captured in two circles of beads, based on antique versions, because a sought after item along with her 'Beadazzled' bobbins which featured a striking bead in the main body of the bobbin.
Carole Morris, from Cambridgeshire, has been trading for many years as Spangles the Bead People. You can see her current advert in issue 178 of the magazine Lace. At one time she also sold ‘Beadazzled’ Bobbins.
Still trading today, Spangles offer bobbins that you can bead yourself along with matching seam rippers and other tools as well as their trademark beads.
