John & Annette Pollard

Based in Penrith, outside of Sydney, Australia, John Pollard was a bobbin turner during the 1980s onward.  His wife, Annette, a lacemaker was also a bobbin painter.

The photos on the lace gumnuts website show two different heads being used by John; a squashed onion and a cylindrical one.
