Jacqui Carey
Jacqui Carey was a well know lace maker, bobbin painter and kumihimo revivalist.
Active with painting bobbins on different makers' from the mid 1980s to mid 1990s. Her bobbins often feature think line drawings in monochromo or just two colours.
Jacqui promoted kumihimo (Japanese Braiding) from the late 1990s and now focuses on her book writing and teaching of the fibre arts. Whilst she no longer paints bobbins, she still runs Kumihimo workshops from her home, in Ottery St Mary, Devon.
