I first started decorating bobbins in 1980 when I saw marbling dyes in a craft shop in Warrington.
These were added to our sales tables along with our pillows for a while and then we added general lace supplies when we bought out Dorothy Pearce.
I later went on a pyrography course in Axminster and discovered gold leaf on wood, so added this to the range and finally the sparkles came along using holographic varnishes.
Care should be taken to distinguish between these are Marble-ous' bobbins
