Liz Bartlett is probably best known for her book on the East Midlands Lace Villages; however, she and her husband produced some very beautiful bobbins.
She was also instrumental in the use of computer-aided lace design.
Sadly, Liz lost her sight in recent years.

Liz Bartlett, the author of Lace Villages, has been teaching and demonstrating for more than 30 years. She is best known for her love of the social history of the craft and for her knowledge of the East Midlands lace industry from the late 18th century to the present day. She runs workshops and courses both at home & abroad & is available as a speaker for women's groups, craft organizations or lace events. She owns & exhibits a large collection of family lace dating back to the 16th century.
